A clear breakdown of when you can cancel, how refunds are calculated, and how long they take to reach you.
Refund eligibility depends on how far your service has progressed. Here's the quick version:
Full refund, minus any payment gateway charges.
Partial refund after deducting work already completed.
Non-refundable — the filing has been completed with the authority.
This Refund Policy explains when you're eligible for a refund on TaxDrone services, how deductions are calculated, and how long the process takes. It applies to all services listed across our categories, including ITR filing, GST, registrations, licensing and compliance.
Because most of our services involve real work — document review, preparation, and submission to government portals — refund eligibility depends on how far along your service is at the time you request cancellation.
Refunds are not available once:

Once a refund is approved, it is initiated within 3–5 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, the amount may take an additional 5–7 business days to reflect in your account.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout (card, UPI, net banking, or wallet). We are unable to issue refunds to a different account or payment method for security reasons.
If a filing is delayed, rejected, or incorrectly prepared due to an error on our end — and not due to incorrect information you provided — we will either correct the issue at no additional cost or issue a full refund for that service, at our discretion.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or processes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Refund requests are evaluated under the policy in effect at the time of your purchase.
